BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER – USA EAST
The responsibilities of the Business Development Manager will be to report to the General Manager and act as a liaison with customers and distributors in Eastern USA.
The ideal candidate works well independently and within a team. Strong attention to detail and well developed communication skills and organization is a must. This position is best suited to a multi-tasker who is computer literate with programs such as Maximizer, Power Point, Word, Excel and Adobe PDF. You will possess excellent letter writing skills and be self-motivated with initiative and be willing travel as required.
You need to be conscientious and a self-starter and are looking for a long term career with a company that is a leader in its industry.
Responsibilities:
- Respond to all communications from Distributors and Customers
- Be able to travel and attend trade shows and are familiar with distributor networks
- Correlate, validate and process all incoming orders in accordance to policies and procedures
- Communicate order information or changes to the appropriate department to ensure the product is to customer’s specifications and shipped or delivered on time.
- Communicate changes in requirements to the Customer.
- Coordinate shipments with the freight forwarder to ensure proper arrival and departure, inspections and preparation of export and customer documents.
- Take ownership of new projects either from initial contact made through the Regional Manager or directly from the potential customer base.
- Promote teamwork, cooperation, and effective communication within the department and Company.
- Perform duties and responsibilities in a manner compliant with Company standards.
- Schedule and prepare information for meetings and travel.
- Prepare and assemble marketing packages for Trade shows and meetings.
Qualifications:
- High School education, post-secondary education and or equivalent experience
- Technical background an asset, especially in refrigeration, lighting or supermarket industry
- Proven track record in sales and service would be preferred
- Knowledge of MS office applications
- Excellent inter-personal skills, self-motivated, able to work under minimum supervision
- Must be highly organized, able to meet strict deadlines
- Proven experience in sales business, preferably within the Eastern USA region
